The original rope holder was produced by John Deere. Part # DA2768A however they dropped the product due to lack of sales, mostly due to poor advertising and the depression years. Can you imagine a farmer being catapulted from his seat when an implement became un hitched with the trip rope tied to the seat? This Spring steel and brass holder installs easily in any seat with holes. Just drop the brass lug through any hole and re install the spring steel clip, spring tension safely holds trip rope.
