Publicity Dept glass negative.
This original glass plate negative (shown in reverse here) was once the property of the publicity department of Deere & company, was found in the drawers of a file cabinet that was sold at an East Moline Il. auction. The Kraft paper sleeve states Neg. No. 17242-b.
Dated 8-31-17. This photograph appears to be a set of engineering notes about changes to the planter after a performance review. Originally this Silver Nitrate coated Glass was produced by the photographer in a dark room before celluloid based negatives were available. This plate measures 14"x11".
